Jeremy Sutcliffe

Civil Court Users Association - honorary vice president

Jeremy qualified as a solicitor in 1984, after fourteen years as a company director and civil engineer in the construction industry. Thereafter, he spent fifteen years in the litigation departments of three large commercial firms in Leeds, latterly as a partner of Eversheds, and the chairman of Eversheds Recoveries Group. In 1997 he became in-house solicitor for National Australia Bank, with particular responsibility for the Yorkshire Bank internal litigation function. He served on the CJC Enforcement Sub-Committee and LCD's Advisory Group on enforcement service delivery and is currently a member of DCA’s Attachment of Earnings and European Stakeholder Groups. He was chairman of the Civil Court Users Association from May 1995 to October 2007 and has since accepted the position of honorary vice president.
