Commercial Credit Manager of the Year
Individuals may work in any credit discipline in the commercial/trade sphere (for example credit/collections/customer services, debt collection agency, business banking, factoring/invoice discounting firm). Applicants should normally have responsibility for staff and/or policy. Applications should describe the manner in which the credit manager has made a significant contribution to his/her organisation, by excellent performance in one or more of the following areas:

Technical expertise. Demonstrating an understanding of one or more specialist credit activities, for example credit policy, credit risk assessment, contracts, collections recovery through the courts, sales ledger management, and insolvency

Management skills. Demonstrating the qualities of a business-orientated manager by, for example, staff training, motivation and retention, achievement of credit qualifications, sound financial management

Innovation. Using new methods to enhance and extend the role of the credit function within the organisation externally

Systems. The introduction and application of credit related administrative and computerised systems the benefit of the overall organisation.
